Since decluttering my closet again this spring, I’m filling in gaps where things are missing. One item I wanted to add was a pair of shorts I could wear dressed up or down. I recently found these high-waisted, patch pocket shorts on Anthropologie, and I love them! They’re SO comfortable and flattering. So much so that I just ordered them in two more colors (they come in four). With it being so warm in Arizona already, these make the perfect stylish shorts outfit for spring and summer.
For this look, I paired my shorts with a v-neck tank, platform espadrilles, and gold accessories. I tied a silk scarf to my purse for added color and pattern. To dress these shorts up a bit, you could add a silk blouse, heels, and bold lipstick. I’m going to try them with the silk blouse in this post. For a more casual look, wear them with sneakers or ankle boots and a graphic tee.
More about the Shorts
As I mentioned, these are wear-all-day comfortable because they sit at your natural waist and have a lightweight, stretch fabric made from viscose, linen, cotton, and elastane…and they don’t ride up. The inseam is 3.25″ and cuffed. If you like a longer length, you can easily roll the cuff down and snip two threads to get a 5″ length. They run true to size (I’m wearing a 27).
And there you have it! This easy, effortless, and stylish shorts outfit will be my go-to this summer. Stay safe and well, and thank you for visiting.
