With the arrival of autumn, our palates crave soups, crockpot meals, and baked goods. Comfort foods. But salads aren’t necessarily considered comfort-food material. Hold on a second! Don’t dismiss the comfort of a great salad so fast. A big dinner-size salad packed with seasonal fruits and veggies and other delicious toppings can fuel you through the chilly days to come. Even better, they do so without making you feel sluggish and weighed down.
I love eating salads year round because they’re fresh, filling, and nutritious. Besides, they’re a great way to incorporate a few servings of veggies and fruit into our diets. So today I’m sharing five healthy, DELICIOUS, fall-inspired salad recipes I recently found. They’re loaded with fresh seasonal produce and all kinds of yummy texture.
Any of these can be served alone -or- topped with chicken or fish, along side your favorite soup, or as a tasty and healthy side dish for upcoming holiday meals. They’re beautiful, easy to make, and seriously delicious! Click on the text or pictures to go to the recipes.
