It’s been a while since I’ve worn a slip dress. As a mid-50s woman, I like the idea of having a bit more coverage than a slip dress offers. By layering with a cropped sweater, different styles of jackets like this leather and faux fur, an off-the-shoulder shirt or tee-shirt, slip dresses are accessible to women in midlife or beyond. Take a look at these ways to style a slip dress!
I purchased this slip dress from All Saints last fall, and I’ve worn it in all seasons. It sold out very fast, but after several months, this dress is back in stock! This leopard-print slip dress is midi length and comes with a detachable cropped sweater making layering easy and giving you multiple styling options.
I accessorized these looks with a faux leather jacket from Acey Design, tall boots, my vintage Donald J. Pliner booties, a tassel handbag (similar here) and my favorite go-to Prada sunglasses.
I’ve linked similar splurge-worthy and affordable options to recreate these looks. If you’re wanting a leopard-print dress, now is the time to shop…they sell out very fast! This one is still available.

Just love this – thank you! I have a snakeskin slip dress that I’ve always worn as evening wear but now I’m going to try it with a cropped jumper as I just love your look here.
Thank you, Gill! I’d love to see that on you! Glad you like the looks.
Cheers, Lisa

At first glance I thought you were wearing a skinny strappec coordinated bra under the off the shoulder black sweater. It was a facepalm moment when I realized I have not worn off the shoulder sweaters with my slip dresses. On a related note your photos reminded me of how much I like a midlength skirt/dress… BIG fan of your style here. I sincerely look forward to your blog posts!
Hi Suzana, I can see how you thought it was a coordinated bra! It’s been a while since I’ve worn off the shoulder (OTS), too, but I’m a fan after getting 2 OTS outfits this year. I’m sold! Thank you for your sweet comments. Glad you like it! 😉
