There are so many things to love about rompers: they’re a one-and-done outfit, they’re super flattering, you can dress them up or down, and they’re comfortable for many activities. The problem I’ve had is that many rompers are so short and the styles look too juvenile for women 40 and beyond.

Well, I finally found rompers that women over 40 and 50 can wear and feel comfortable and modest. I absolutely LOVE the romper I’m showing today, which is currently on sale for $67 (original price was $155)! I have others linked below with longer lengths and good coverage.

I purchased this romper and belt at Anthropologie, which has beautiful women’s apparel and accessories, intimates, home furniture and décor, beauty and gifts. They have unique pieces and styles for women who don’t want to look like the masses.

This weekend only, Anthropologie is offering 20% off all clothing and free shipping!  If you haven’t already, this is a great time to check them out!

Details and Fit

I love that rompers have the comfort of shorts and the styling ease of a dress. This one is ultra comfortable with a very sophisticated look in a neutral, spotted motif. The front pockets and tassel ties make for nice details, too. It runs large; I’m 5’10” and wearing a small. It also comes in a pretty blue motif shown at the bottom of the post.

The Big Question

Let’s talk about bathroom concerns. I’ve not had a problem at all because with this one, you just unbutton a few front buttons and off it goes. It’s as easy as unbuttoning jeans or unfastening a belt. I’ve linked others below that look to be easy-off as well.

Accessories

My purse is also from Anthropologie, but it’s sold out. Amazon and Etsy have excellent selections of affordable straw and woven handbags in numerous styles here and here. This one is very similar.

This woven belt comes in both coral and cream and has an adjustable buckle. I’ve also worn it with this outfit and have received numerous compliments on the belt with both outfits. This belt is a lower price point and would also look great.

My neutral espadrille sandals are from Eileen Fisher, another brand of which I’m a big fan. These and these are similar and more affordable.

Other Stylish Romper Options

This double-breasted utility romper and this one in animal print are both super chic and along the same price point. I love them both! Are you ready to try a romper this summer? I bet you’ll love it, too!
