I don’t know about you, ladies, but I’ve seen white blazers everywhere lately from fashion blogs and Instagram, to magazines and on celebrities. A white blazer is a versatile and timeless wardrobe staple you can wear in place of a denim jacket, and it will instantly elevate your outfit. In this post, I’m showing you four easy ways to style a white blazer.
Teaming up with Kay Harms
I’m excited to team up with my new friend and fellow blogger, Kay Harms, whom I first met on Instagram and then quickly subscribed to her blog, Dressed for My Day. Kay is a professional writer and speaker and a prolific style blogger who encourages women to dress in a way that helps us positively and gracefully influence our world. She’s as warm and authentic in her writing as she is in person, and she shares beautiful styles…a winning combo! I encourage you to head over and see how she’s styling her white blazer, and take a look around her website, too. You can also see Kay’s books and speaking topics at KayHarms.com.
Kay and I met in person in April when we attended a special blogger/Instagrammer brunch at the Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley, AZ. You can read about that event in my Weekend Brunch Style post, and you can learn more about my stay at the Hermosa Inn here.
The Blazer
Now, about the white blazer! The one I’m showing today is a classic style, cotton twill, lined blazer from Nordstrom with double buttons, pocket flaps and a tailored feel (I thought it was linen when I bought it!). It’s available in sizes 0 to 16, and fits like a dream! Nordstrom, Talbots, and JC Penney all have great selections of white blazers and a variety of styles if you’re looking to add one to your wardrobe. I’ve added shopping links (with pictures) for several different styles at the bottom of this post.
Outfit #1: White Blazer with Shorts and Metallic
Here I paired my blazer with denim shorts, a floral paisley cami (both from Loft Outlet), and metallic and chain accessories. It’s a bit difficult to see the dark denim wash of the shorts here, so click the picture to see the true color. I added metallic platform sandals, which come in 3 other colors. Side note: I walked over 7000 steps the first time wearing these sandals…not kidding!
If you like this look but you’re not comfortable wearing shorter shorts, try longer shorts or even cropped pants to get a similar look.
shorts // cami // belt (similar) // sandals // necklace // earrings // chain wallet // favorite gel polish
Outfit #2: Casual Look with Pastel and Jeans
blazer // jeans (similar here and here) // purse (similar here) // necklace (similar here) // earrings // shoes
Outfit #3: White on White with Animal Print
This is another casual outfit I’d wear any day of the week, and it’s such an effortless look. Add a belt, purse, or shoes in your favorite animal print to give your white-on-white outfit a pop, or, add booties or heels to dress this one up. As I mentioned, a white blazer can easily replace a denim jacket for a more polished look.
Who doesn’t love (and look great in!) a column of black? For this date-night look, I’m wearing my comfortable Nic+Zoe black stretch pants. I added simple, layered, silver jewelry and these studded AGL sandals (20% off now), all from Nordstrom. Anyone can pull off this timeless look!
pants // shoes // clutch (comes in 7 colors) // shoes // long necklace // short necklace // hoop earrings
There are endless ways to style a white blazer, and I’d love to know your ideas, too! Be sure to comment below, and let me know which one of these is your favorite. Also, remember to visit Dressed for My Day to see how Kay styled her white blazer. She’s a sweetheart!

I checked out your blog through the suggestion of Kay at Dressed For My Day. First and foremost Lisa, you have great legs. I would love to be able to feel confident in shorts. You look fabulous in all four combos. I purchased a nice white blazer a year or so ago and it is definitely a staple piece every woman needs in her closet….especially good if you are in a restaurant with the air conditioning up high. ~Lisa~
You’re very kind, Lisa, and thank you for stopping by! This is the first white blazer I’ve owned, and I love it. I wore it traveling the other day, and, like restaurants, it was perfect for the cold airport and plane. Appreciate you reading and commenting.

Hello Lisa! Kay sent me over to meet you and I’m very pleased to do that. Love all of your ‘looks’ today but I don’t wear shorts anymore but I sure can duplicate the other three looks! Anxious to get to know you more (I’m signing up for your news letter). I’m well past your age but I still appreciate good fashion and tips and I’m a Classic girl through and through!
It’s a pleasure meeting you, Sondra… and thank you for visiting my site! So glad you found some ideas you can use, and that first look would look great with dark denim jeans, too. I appreciate you reading, commenting, and signing up, and I’m with you on classic styles…although I add a few pops of trend here and there 😉
