How often do you go out to brunch, ladies? For me, it’s just a handful of times a year, and Mother’s Day is one of those times. With Mother’s Day just a week away, and being the most popular brunch day of the year, I wanted to share my weekend brunch style, inspire you with brunch outfit ideas, and let you know about some great sales happening this week!
Brunch is a perfect opportunity to dress up just a little…don’t you agree? Since brunch can last a couple of hours, and since we usually eat more than normal, I like to make comfort and pretty equal priorities. Think looser mini or maxi dresses, jumpsuits, palazzo or wide-leg pants, or even relaxed-fitting jeans for a more casual brunch.
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of organizing a group of blogger and Instagrammer ladies for a Saturday brunch hosted by the award-winning Hermosa Inn, a historic, luxury, boutique hotel in Paradise Valley, Arizona. We were treated to a lovely brunch on the patio of the hotel’s restaurant, LON’s, which offers both Saturday and Sunday brunch. Here’s what I wore.
I chose to wear this silk ombré dress I purchased at a boutique on one of our cruise stops earlier this year. One reason I chose this dress is because it’s a looser fit, and I knew I didn’t want a tight outfit for a brunch…do you know where I’m going with this? You’ll see later in the post! I decided to wear a mini dress because the temperature was in the high 90s.
This exact dress is no longer available, but if you’re a fan of ombré, I’ve linked a few options here. I especially love the coral one.

Other Outfit Details
Since my dress is light and flowy, I chose to pair it with delicate jewelry from Nordstrom. I opted for two necklaces and some extra large hoop earrings. I love the way layered jewelry gives a cascading effect that allows each piece to stand out on its own.
The long necklace and earrings come in gold, rose gold, and silver, and the shorter necklace comes in silver and gold. All are from Gorjana Jewelry, one of Nordstrom’s more affordable jewelry lines.

I’ve had my eye on Valentino’s ‘Rockstud’ sandals for a while, but I can’t justify spending that much. I found these very similar AGL sandals for half the price, and I’m thrilled with them! Not only is the style and color timeless, the block heel makes them comfortable to walk on any surface, and the nude-color Italian leather is butter soft. If you’re going to splurge on a timeless sandal, ladies, this is one to consider.
My purse is from Anthropologie, and I’ve worn it with everything this spring and have received so many compliments on it. You can wear it as a clutch, as I show above, or as a cross-body bag with the removable straps, and it comes in four colors.

LON’s and The Hermosa Inn
Sometimes, you’re lucky enough to find a place so special, it’s hard to find words to describe it. The Hermosa Inn is one of those places, and I tried to describe it here, but you really have to experience it for yourself to fully understand how memorable it truly is. If you live in Arizona, or if you’re planning a trip there, please do yourself a favor and make time to visit this unique, historical inn and restaurant for a stay or for brunch.
About the food! For starters, we shared the house smoked salmon and the lump crab & baby sweet shrimp ceviche. I ordered the avocado toast for my entree, and we all shared the amazing churro tower for dessert. Now can you see why I wore a loose dress? The food, setting and service were all exceptional!
Meet the Ladies
When I started on Instagram in the fall of 2018, I had no idea what it would turn into. What started as me tiptoeing back into social media after a 5-year hiatus has become a community where I’ve found like-minded women to connect with from around the world. Here are some of the lovely women I’ve met in the Scottsdale area. You can also get inspired by their beautiful brunch outfits!

I love brunch with the ladies or with family. Why is it we can find the cutest dresses on cruise ships or resorts? I have found some of the best ones yet at resorts, I stay at. And at affordable prices too.
